Research interests: tribology of materials for hot path gas turbine components, manufacturing of bio-inspired, deterministic surfaces for dry or inadequately lubricated sliding applications, improvement of resistance to rolling contact fatigue of wheels and rails in railway systems, and failure analysis of components submitted to mechanical and tribological requirements.
