El turismo en Medellín desde la percepción del consumidor como una creciente oportunidad de negocio

Abstract

The determination of the characteristics of foreign patients to define some specific segments and their reasons for purchase; found it linked to the perception of quality, human resource, infrastructure, international positioning and recognition of health services, which are currently specifically provided in Colombia and Medellin. Clinics and hospitals in the capital of Antioquia come to understand the concept 'health tourism", a situation that has led to implement a restructuring of its services, its infrastructure, its portfolio of offerings, and start implementing a strategy of international promotion. Through surveys of patients from abroad, who came to Medellin to be different treatments and medical interventions with the support of the interviews with several doctors who see this public and marketing managers of some clinics in the city, it was possible to define characteristics, and reasons for buying segments related to health tourism in Medellin.
