Fig. 5 shows the results of Cases 1 and 2. For Case 1, there is no expansion in generation, as illustrated by the green line in Fig. 5A. Generation is limited in Case 1 because the system can only supply 4 h of subsidized service through a diesel generator, which limits the operation of the ESP due to insufficient funds being available to grow the system.
